There are no boundaries with our Design Creativity and Construction Ingenuity when it comes to our Biophilic Installations.
We have really expanded our floral repertoire over the past few years and are excited to offer both temporary living botanical art installations and permanent synthetic biophilic design! These custom pieces are created to fit in specific spaces, whether that's your company building, your special event venue, or another location.
After a site visit, we start with a full-color sketch of our proposed biophilic design. We then overlay this design onto a photo of the installation site to enable you to envision what it will look like. We can also work in conjunction with Interior Designers who may guide the overall aesthetic. With your approval to move forward in partnership, we then carefully build your biophilia art piece by hand. The last step involves installing your custom piece on-site at the desired location. Our botanic installations literally come to life!
Luxe Silk Hanging Biophilia Installation
When Skin Synthesis, a luxury boutique medspa in Seattle whose mission is to synthesize radiant skin that leaves you refreshed and rejuvenated, moved to a new location, we were brought on board to create a biophilic design for the lobby area ceiling.
Jenny Hartley, the owner of Skin Synthesis, wanted to embrace biophilia for her new location - curves, natural colors, and free flowing designs. Alona at Pernula Designs, conceptualized a tranquil space that promoted wellness from the outside in, and included an organic color palette, gentle lines, and a plethora of green plants, with a showstopping hanging greenery installation in the lobby. That's where we came in.

Oversized Living Wreaths at Pacific Place
Pacific Place went through their redevelopment shortly before and during the Pandemic, so we partnered with them for several years, creating over-sized living wreath on each of the four floors. These living wreaths included pothos and poinsettias, and were on display for over two months at a time. These living wreaths added festivity and beauty to the ambiance of the mall. One patron we talked with described them as "healing".

After several years of building and installing living wreaths, we decided to do something different at Pacific Place. In the winter of 2022 we designed a full wall display, which we called our "Spinning Snowflake Wall". Being fond of movement in design, we wanted to create something that suggested motion, flow, and evolution. These were key descriptions which we thought embodied the entire messaging behind the redevelopment of Pacific Place.

Investment Needed for Biophilic Design
The cost to create, build, and install a biophilic design varies depending on the scope of each project. All of our biophilia installations take a lot of careful planning and preparation, and require design, engineering, and construction. Our biophilia design investment starts at $5,000 and can go up to $20,000+ for permanent installations.
